An aging Vermont Inn gets a second wind. - Windsor, VT

"My vision of an inn room is  place that is serene and comfortable; this room's influence is a cozy European retreat" says Dawn McLaughlin. "Guests come here to get way, and I want them to feel the comfort you expect from a Vermont Inn with a bit of luxury so they can escape from the everyday." Dawn added her personal aesthetic using the infusion of something luxe with something rustic to give the space a unique but elegant look. Seh juxtaposed old and new pieces, taking some out of their original form and making them unique and compelling. The bed was made out of 100-year-old pieces. The palette of the room was a historical blend of neutrals--light golds and creams--with a punch of color using some new color trends such as lavender. The bathroom was accented with a metallic wallpaper with a quaint historical pattern to give the small space a special feel every time the light shines in. More drama was added with a metallic themed ceiling and molding.

The tide brings in some style to this beach house. - Cape Neddick, ME

The idea of a beach house conjures up images and feelings of cleanliness, relaxation, and a carefree environment. The soothing therapeutic aspect of the ocean was our inspiration in designing this home. A white backdrop with water inspired accents exudes the beach house vibe.

Bringing transitional style to a suburban dining room. -Shrewsbury, MA

Elegance is apparent in the suburban dining room. Clean white molding and base boards are a stunning backdrop highlighting the beautiful grasscloth lining the walls. The artistic accent wall with the varied collection of stunning framed plates brings style to the next level. The chandelier above the table is simple yet eye-catching.

Combined with the extravagant shower and mirrors matching the cabinetry, this bathroom is top of the line.
